Brian Phillips has coached at the Division 1 level for over 10 years. Most recently, Phillips served as the Director of Sports Performance at James Madison University. At JMU, Phillips designed training programs and worked directly with the football program. Prior to JMU, Phillips spent time at UMass as the Director of Sports Performance overseeing the 21 athletic programs, and working directly with the football program.

Phillips earned a Bachelor’s degree in physical education from Bridgewater State University and a Master’s degree in performance enhancement and injury prevention from California (Pa.).
