Hippe has years of coaching experience. Most recently is he served as the linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at Bethel University. Hippe was a student assistant at UW-River Falls after playing there his first two years and went on to serve as an intern and later a graduate assistant at the University of Minnesota from 2014-2017. Following his tenure with the Gophers, Hippe served as a defensive backs coach at Washington State University for a short stint before joining the Royals. In addition to his coaching background, Hippe worked as a team equipment intern for the Minnesota Vikings from 2011-2014 and as a volunteer coach at Wausau West High School in 2010.
